Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
An abdominoplasty or “tummy tuck” removes excess skin and tissue in the abdominal area, flattening the appearance of the belly. An abdominoplasty is often performed after weight loss and/or pregnancy and may require some degree of liposuction for contouring. Many people are candidates for this procedure but it is important to set goals with your surgeon before proceeding with surgery.
Abdominoplasties are performed in our out-patient surgery center and take between 3-4 hours. The patient can return home the same day. Recovery time after abdominoplasty varies for each patient but is usually 4-6 weeks.
