Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)
A blepharoplasty is performed to remove excess skin around the upper and/or lower eyelids. This procedure is performed on patients who have puffy or sagging eyelids and can improve visibility and restore eyelids to a more youthful, refreshed look. Eyelid surgery is performed in our out-patient surgery center and lasts between 1-2 hrs, and up to 3 hrs for quadrilateral blepharoplasty.
After surgery, patients will be moved to recovery and will return home the same day. Patients can expect at least a week of recovery time and are usually able to return to work starting the second week, post surgery.
