What Is Precision Tx?

Over the last few years, the use of lasers in the cosmetic industry has continued to grow. While we all know that lasers can be used for hair removal as well as to minimize the appearance of skin imperfections such as scars and discolorations, many are unaware that this technology goes well beyond the surface.

One of the latest examples is the Precision Tx Laser. This laser is commonly used for non-surgical procedures that are designed to tighten the skin, especially in the neck and lower cheek areas. This laser delivers a wavelength of 1440 nanometers and is extremely effective at liquifying fat tissue.

Keep reading to learn more about Precision Tx and how this laser could benefit you.

How Does Precision Tx Work?

The Precision Tx Laser’s 1440 nanometer wavelength has very unique physical properties. The laser beam can be precisely directed, ensuring direct and targeted treatment. Procedures that involve the Precision Tx are performed using a small cannula that is inserted under the skin. A laser fiber inside of the tube is designed to deliver energy from the laser beam directly under the skin.

The fascia largely consists of collagen. When appropriately heated, this layer of skin will contract. The skin also contains high levels of collagen, so, when heated adequately, it, too, will contract. This creates a tighter, firmer, and more youthful appearance.

The laser energy then eliminates fat cells and can also improve skin quality in the treated area. Precision Tx is most commonly used on smaller areas of the face, including the chin, jawline, and neck. It can also be used on the arms for axillary gland ablation, which is used to minimize underarm sweating.

Uses & Benefits of Precision Tx

There are many different uses for Precision Tx. patients of all ages and genders can likely benefit from Precision Tx, depending on their specific wants and needs. This laser-based procedure can be used for a variety of purposes, including:

  • ● Skin tightening
  • ● Fat melting
  • ● Improving facial contour
  • ● Treatment for excessive sweating

Non-Surgical Facelift

One of the most common uses of Precision Tx is to conduct a procedure known as a non-surgical facelift. This procedure often targets the lower face and neck in order to thicken the skin while also causing it to retract.

Simple Treatment for Hyperhidrosis

There’s nothing more embarrassing than having to deal with excessive sweating, especially in the underarm area. If you have yet to find relief, even after using a prescription grade anti-perspirant, ablation of the axillary glands may be a treatment option for you.

This is a safe, quick, and toxin-free procedure that coagulates and ablates the soft tissue in the armpit area. Results take just one week to be seen.

What Treatment Is Like

In most cases, patients will be given local anesthesia that is administered to the treatment area. The anesthetic is placed into the fat layer and then spreads to provide numbing to the skin and underlying fascia layers. This process is nearly painless and, once the anesthetic kicks in, patients don’t feel a thing!

Tiny incisions are then made so that the laser energy can be evenly distributed throughout the target area. The tip of the fiber optic is then directed downward toward the fascia until the right amount of laser energy is delivered. The laser is then moved upward to treat the underside of the skin.

Depending on the procedure you’re undergoing, your doctor may also incorporate liposuction to provide the best results.

Recovery Time

Laser-based treatments such as Precision Tx have much quicker recovery times when compared to surgical procedures. This is because laser treatments only require very small incisions to be made at the entry points. No stitches are required, and the incisions are usually undetectable within a week.

Most patients who undergo the procedure will experience light bruising and swelling. Your doctor may recommend that you wear a compression garment in order to assist with the healing process. Patients typically return to normal activities within a day or two.

Is Precision Tx Laser Treatment Right for Me?

This laser can be used to treat a wide variety of issues. Precision Tx is most commonly used to remove excess fat in the neck, as well as to tighten sagging jowls and neck. However, this laser treatment has also shown to be beneficial in treating hyperhidrosis.

Without a thorough examination by a board-certified plastic surgeon, it’s impossible to say if you’re a candidate for Precision Tx laser treatment or not. For example, you may be interested in a non-surgical facelift, but this procedure may not be the best option, depending on the severity of your neck and jowl sagging.
